In this article, you will get all information regarding Young black Americans turn to the GOP – who needs them to survive

Among the top headlines in the 2022 midterm elections were Republicans’ gains among minority voters.

According to the AP VoteCast survey, GOP House candidates captured 14% of the black vote, nearly double the 8% of the black vote that Republicans captured in 2020 and 2018.

The difference between the percentage of black votes obtained by Democrats compared to Republicans was 68 points, compared to a difference of 83 points in the 2020 election and 82 points in 2018.

This was even more pronounced among young black voters, ages 18 to 44, where the difference between the percentage of Democratic and Republican votes was 54 points, down from 76 points in 2020 and 75 in 2018.

The Republican Party is rooting most aggressively among young black voters.

According to Pew Research, 28% of black Republicans are between the ages of 18 and 29, compared to 17% of black Democrats and 10% of white Republicans.

My own sense is that young black people are less likely to view themselves primarily by their race and less likely to think about their future in terms of racial group identity politics.

Data from Pew Research shows that 58% of black Republicans say their race is an “extremely or very important” aspect of their personal identity. That compared to 82% of black Democrats. And 21% of black Republicans, compared to 6% of black Democrats, say their race matters little or nothing to their personal identity.

It should also be noted that 50% of black Republicans live in low-income households.

So, in general, black Republicans tend to be younger and poorer. It’s logic. These young Black Americans are thinking about their future and have a realistic sense that their future depends on their own efforts, as opposed to race-based government programs.

According to Pew, 45% of black Republicans, compared to 21% of black Democrats, say the future of black Americans depends on their own efforts. About half as many black Republicans as black Democrats — 44% versus 73% — view racial discrimination as the biggest barrier to progress and achievement for black people.

Change is therefore underway, and that is good news. More and more in the next generation of black Americans see themselves as the civil rights movement wanted all black Americans to be seen – as unique individuals.

But this change must be bigger and faster to slow and stop the country’s leftward movement.

According to an analysis by the Brookings Institution, in 2022, among voters 65 and older, 76.3% were white; from 45 to 54 years old, 68.2% were Caucasian; 30-44, 62.2% were white; and from 18 to 29, 56% were white. This demographic snapshot shows the future ethnic profile of the country: it is becoming dramatically less white.

In 2022, 72% of voters were white and 58% of them voted Republican, representing 42% of the overall Republican vote. If the overall profile looked like voters aged 18-29, 56% white rather than 72%, with no change in percentage of Republican votes, 58%, white voters would provide 32% of Republican votes rather more than 42% .

It should be clear that with the dramatic shift of the American population to non-white Americans, there must be a corresponding dramatic increase in the percentage of non-white Americans voting for Republicans, or else we can expect the country to continue to turn into a big government and moral relativism.

The GOP improvements (14% black voters and 39% Hispanic voters voting Republican in 2022) are not enough. Republicans should take a closer look at the positive dynamic pushing young black people toward the GOP and use that message to reach more minority Americans.

In other words, don’t bet your future on racial politics. Each American should be viewed as a unique individual, personally responsible for his or her own life. The job of government is to protect life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness for all.
