Little Leaguers descended on the Memorial Park ballfields in San Anselmo Saturday to mark opening day and the completion of a $600,000 renovation.
Parks and Recreation Commissioner Rod Kerr served as the master of ceremonies for the event. Mayor Steve Burdo and Vice Mayor Eileen Burke performed a celebratory ribbon cutting.
The 3.2-acre site includes three baseball diamonds and a lawn used for soccer and other sports. The park underwent an overhaul last fall, improving the irrigation and drainage.
