Marjorie Taylor Greene’s warning to the GOP about a possible indictment against Trump – World Time Todays

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Georgia Republican, warned GOP members of the consequences they could face for not supporting former President Donald Trump, who could potentially be indicted by New York prosecutors next week.

“If the Manhattan Attorney indicts President Trump, he will eventually win even more than he already will win. And those Republicans who stand by and cheer his persecution or do nothing to stop it will be exposed and remembered, despised and punished by the grassroots,” Greene wrote on Twitter Saturday.

Greene, a staunch Trump supporter, has long defended the former president and has previously disputed the results of the 2020 presidential election and repeated similar claims Trump has touted about widespread voter fraud. Meanwhile, GOP lawmakers have repeatedly criticized the Biden administration for various issues, including pandemic-related measures and military aid to Ukraine in its ongoing fight against Russia.

She has also often defended some conservatives, claiming they face “political persecution,” such as InfoWars TV host Alex Jones, who was convicted by a jury last year of paying the families of the Sandy Hook victims nearly $1,000 in damages Paid $1 billion for calling the school mass shooting a scam.

Greene lashed out at Democrats Saturday, accusing them of “armed government” and “political persecution.”

“And any Republican who thinks the Democrats will stop this madness once Trump is out of the way is fooling themselves. Gun control and political persecution are new chapters in their playbook, and they will use these methods against anyone who stands in their way. And we are absolutely sick of the two tier justice system or UNJUSTICE system in America, the grassroots fed up with Republicans not standing up for the people and against the Democrats’ war on Trump, his admins, his supporters and traditional values,” tweeted she.

The Georgia congresswoman recently predicted Trump will win the 2024 presidential election in a “landslide” if impeached.

“If they frame President Trump on false charges to go after him to try to stop the movement they can’t stop, he’ll win in 2024 by a landslide and then we’ll put him in the White House and he will finish what he started. We will hollow out the government of all the traitors who serve the globalists and America last,” Greene told Lindell TV.
