Feds: Schenectady man gets nearly six years for fentanyl-laced heroin distribution, gun possession – The Daily Gazette

ALBANY – A Schenectady man was sentenced Thursday to nearly six years in federal prison after admitting to selling fentanyl-laced heroin and possessing two guns in Schenectady, federal prosecutors said.

Ralph St. Croix, also known as “Stretch,” 39, most recently of Schenectady and formerly of Long Island, was sentenced to a total 5 years, 10 months in prison.

He admitted earlier to distributing heroin laced with fentanyl and possessing two firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, prosecutors said.

St. Croix, a previously convicted felon, admitting to selling the drugs to another person on three separate occasions in December 2020 at his apartment on Eastern Avenue in Schenectady, prosecutors said.

He further admitted to possessing there a loaded revolver and shotgun to guard against the potential theft of his drugs and proceeds, prosecutors said.

The case was investigated by the ATF and the New York State Police, with assistance from the Schenectady County District Attorney’s Office. It was prosecuted by assistant U.S. Attorney Emmet O’Hanlon.
