In this article, you will get all information regarding EXCLUSIVE: Emotional Interview with Ann Dorn the Day After Her Husband’s Murderer Brought to Justice
Former St. Louis Police Officer Ann Dorn, wife of David Dorn, the retired St. Louis Police Department Captain who was murdered in 2020 during a Black Lives Matter riot, sat down for 10 minutes to discuss her feelings after yesterday’s verdict of the man who murdered her husband two years ago.
FOX News reported on the conviction in St. Louis:
A Missouri jury found Stephan Cannon, the 26-year-old accused of gunning down retired St. Louis Police Capt. David Dorn during a night of looting and rioting in June 2020, guilty on all counts Wednesday.
“Justice has been served,” his family told reporters outside the courthouse in videos posted online.

Cannon was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, stealing $750 or more, unlawful possession of a firearm and three counts of armed criminal action – all felonies.
Dorn, 77, was responding to a burglar alarm at a friend’s pawn shop when he encountered a group of looters outside.
Cannon, the man who prosecutors say shot Dorn dead and left him on the sidewalk, was among a half dozen men charged in connection with the incident.
Ann described her and David’s story at the RNC in 2020. It was emotional and still is.
Moments ago, Ann sat down with Joe Hoft to discuss how her life has changed and the events of the past three days. Ann shared the following:
Dave was killed in a Black Lives Matter riot. It was a Black Lives [Matter] sponsored riot, organized by them. I’ve now teamed with a group called Concerned Communities of America. It’s ran by black clergy and community leaders that want to improve their communities. They want to do what Black Lives Matter actually said they are going to do, but they’re actually doing it. Ann had to testify during the trial of her husband’s killer and sit on the stand and see him, knowing that was the man who killed her husband. Then she sat there and listened to all the evidence supporting her husband’s death. When asked at the end of the interview what message she has Americans after what she has gone through, she shared the following:
Wake up, love your children. Be a parent to your child, not a friend. Teach them rules and values. When you take a person’s life it’s forever and it just doesn’t ruin the family of the deceased, it ruins both families. Both families lose a loved one when this happens and it’s not worth it. Taking someone’s life isn’t worth it… Be kind.
