Conclusion of the 49th Conference of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Mauritania

The activities of the forty-ninth conference of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Nouakchott, the capital of Mauritania, organized under the slogan “Moderation and moderation, a valve of security and stability” have ended. For two days, according to the Mauritanian news agency, a number of issues were discussed in various fields, led by the Palestinian cause and the events in Al-Quds al-Sharif, in addition to discussing the development of the Afghan issue, the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. and the Sahel region, as well as the situation of Muslim minorities and communities in non-member countries, in addition to discussing the phenomenon of “Islamophobia”.

The session included meetings of contact groups on Palestine and Jammu and Kashmir, as well as an open meeting of the Ad Hoc Ministerial Committee on Accountability for Human Rights Violations against the Rohingya.

Foreign Minister of Mauritania, Mohamed Salem Ould Marzouk, said in his speech that the session discussed all issues on the agenda in depth and thoughtfulness and was characterized by richness and comprehensiveness, adding that there was an exchange of views on all issues and strategic issues. the problems of the group, in the context of the unprecedented stakes that the group is witnessing. Today’s world is at political, economic, security and environmental levels, and what it requires from effective and rapid responses.

He added that the session was able to come up with important decisions and recommendations that confirm the viability of the organization and herald the formation of an important turning point in achieving the lofty goals for which it was created and laying the foundations for a forward-looking vision that increases profits and plans for the future.
